These positions are located in Huntington, WV. Both day and evening shift positions are available, both openings must be available for occasional weekend work.

Job Description Summary:

This position is responsible for managing overall performance, production, coordination, scheduling and training of area supervisors to provide quality, economical and timely cleaning services to clients.

Reporting Relationships:

  • Reports To: General Manager
  • Reporting To This Position:
    • Assigned Area Supervisors, directly; all assigned cleaning personnel, indirectly


  • Education: High School diploma or GED; Associates Degree, preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Required: Minimum of 2 years' experience in managing and/or supervising employees, preferably in a service environment.
    • Preferred: Experience in scheduling, interviewing, progressive discipline, managing by production and budgets, and training.
  • Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Good interpersonal skills and ability to lead people. Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Physical: Normal mobility required. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Must be able to perform cleaning duties, including lifting up to 50 lbs. Senses of sight and hearing correctable to normal.
  • Mental:
    • Mathematics: Elementary Math skills needed. Ability to resolve problems quickly.
  • Special: Ability to successfully pass drug test and background check as determined by executive management.

Working Conditions:

  • Various job site environmental conditions. Driving Company vehicle with frequent exposure to seasonal conditions getting in and out of vehicle.
  • Essential Functions:
    • Authority and Responsibilities: This position has full authority to fulfill the following responsibilities:
    • Duties and Tasks:
      • Manage area supervisors through leadership and by meeting or exceeding standards for service, production, quality, cost, labor efficiency, and on time service. Primary function is to give direction and guidance to lead persons who will then handle the details for the assigned job.
      • Facilitates orientation and training, evaluates performance, and applies discipline up to suspension of all cleaning personnel assigned to their area. Disciplinary actions must be documented; recommended terminations must be authorized and conducted by the Human Resources Manager.
      • Maintains a list of employee availability, makes recommendations to Human Resources when positions are available, schedules crews and assigns work, and ensures compliance with attendance rules.
      • Ensures courtesy and professionalism in client relations and handling care of client's possessions. Handles direct communication with clients and resolves issues and complaints.
      • Sets up supply inventories for each new job location or crew vehicle assigned; assigns equipment necessary to do the job. Maintains a documented inventory control record at each assigned job location.
      • Identifies 'upsell' opportunities and communicates information back to the office. Is involved in customer service by pointing out maintenance and repair needs or improvements.
      • Works with the Scheduling Coordinator to ensure that directions to the job, job instructions and specifications are clear and executable using current procedures and that the job will yield the expected profit.
      • Monitors crew productivity and visits jobs to ensure that customer expectations are being achieved and that Company procedures are being followed and standards of productivity and quality are routinely achieved.
      • Identifies areas to improve productivity and quality at job sites.
      • Contacts customers when schedule changes are necessary or when assistance and/or clarification is needed to carry out an assignment.
      • Expedites all exposed needs and resolves routine operational situations that occur.
      • Provides for on the job training in Company procedures of all cleaning crew members and field trainers within their assigned area.
      • Covers the proper use and care of all equipment and cleaning supplies used with all cleaning crew assigned to their area.
      • Ensures SDS sheets are at every client location.
      • Assists in maintaining an effective safety program that provides a safe and secure work environment and that conforms to legal requirements and ensures the best insurance rates available.
      • Ensures compliance to all on the job cleaning processes and standards.
      • Ensures all Company general rules, policies and procedures are communicated to employees and observed by them.
      • Provides an accident report for all on the job accidents to the office before the end of the next business day of which the accident occurred. All accidents regardless of severity must be reported to the the Human Resources Manager before the end of the shift.
      • Ensures equipment is correctly maintained and repaired when needed by periodic inspections. Equipment to be repaired is sent to the office and a replacement issued if needed.
      • Responsible for proper maintenance and upkeep of assigned vehicle. Must notify office of service or repairs needed.
      • Prepares/Submits all required reports in timely fashion. Reports cover time reporting, production, inventory, job inspection and incidents/situations that occur on the job.

    • Performs other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
